Bug Description

Upon changing resolution and restarting, booting Ubuntu gives me two unexpected results: The Ubuntu logo renders in a manner similar to videotaping a CRT screen, and this error message: "vga=769 is deprecated. Use set gfxpayload=640x480x8,640x480 before linux command instead."

the work around is to manually set the resolution in /etc/default/grub:

change line: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX=" vga=769" to the appropriate setting

Code Resolution
vga=785 640x480
vga=788 800x600
vga=791 1024x768
vga=794 1280x1024

sorry GRUB_CMD_LINUX should be:

" gfxpayload=true gfxpayload=640x480"

then run a grub update
