Bug Description

Binary package hint: netbook-launcher

lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
Release: 9.10

netbook-launcher disappeared after a freeze/crash/REISUB, leaving a go-home-applet that did nothing and a desktop that was un-right-clickable. Creating a second user account produced the same behavior (so it's not some hidden config file in user-land). I then purged and installed all packages that are pulled in by ubuntu-netbook-remix. netbook-launcher still hasn't reappeared, and this is the only error I can find (/var/crash is empty).

sudo killall netbook-launcher && netbook-launcher produces the following output:

(netbook-launcher:4724): libnetbook-launcher-DEBUG: CONFIG: Low graphics mode: False
(netbook-launcher:4724): libnetbook-launcher-DEBUG: CONFIG: Font dpi: 96.000000
(netbook-launcher:4724): libnetbook-launcher-DEBUG: CONFIG: Font changed: Sans 10

(netbook-launcher:4724): libnetbook-launcher-DEBUG: CONFIG: Connecting to ConsoleKit for suspend/resume restarting
(netbook-launcher:4724): liblauncher-DEBUG: launcher-menu.c:361
ORPHAN: Ubuntu Software Center
(netbook-launcher:4724): liblauncher-DEBUG: Workarea: (0, 25) (0, 0)
do_wait: drmWaitVBlank returned -1, IRQs don't seem to be working correctly.
Try adjusting the vblank_mode configuration parameter.
