Bug Description

Binary package hint: evms

I have a standard install of Ubuntu 6.06 (server). At install time I installed the system on a RAID1 device. On first boot the device is mounted as /dev/mdX. Then after running the evms gui the device is reassigned to /dev/evms/md/mdX. This leads to a kernel panic on the next boot since in the the grub-config-root still points to /dev/mdX and not /dev/evms/md/mdX as it should.

Yes they look quite similar, the problem does indeed result from EVMS preempting MD.
