Bug Description

With the return of power_save=10 in lucid, I again get popping noises from my speakers / headphones.

I also get clicks whenever there's a terminal bell, but I guess that's a separate bug (and also a regression from karmic release).

I also get a sound often but to me it is like some one is firing a laser pistol at me or something...

I get this in karmic, not lucid, with 2.6.31-16-generic. It went away when I set power_save=0.

I have this in Karmic, I tried all the different power save settings (commenting out, powersave=0, etc) nothing worked so I went back to jaunty, where it doesn't have a pop/buzz sound, pop seems to happen when you activate a sound then you have silence for 10secs, then it goes back to sleep and buzzs untill you activate sound again. Windows doesn't have this problem and jaunty.
