Adept doesn´t start any more

Bug Description

Binary package hint: adept

When I pressed "update sources" in adept it hung, so I killed the process after some minutes.
Now adept doesn´t start any more, when I launch it the cpu usage goes up for about a minute and then goes back to zero, but I see neither error messages nor does the adept window open.
This has already happened with another machine, and I had to reinstall kubuntu (6.06), so it´s an important thing imho.

Not any more since I installed synaptic.
Adept is too buggy for me, it crashed during a kernel upgrade and I had to reinstall my entire system.
