tagger does not remove tags

Bug Description

the current tagger in trunk doesn't properly remove tags. They will disappear from the DB, but on next rescan the removed tags are added back again. eg. if i remove/clear the date field, it will appear to succeed, but on next rescan the date field will be back to its prior value.

Are the tags actually gone from the file?

No, the tags do persist in the file even after being removed in the tagger. Verified via mutagen-inspect. Changes to tags do show up correctly in mutagen-inspect, but removals do not. Adding new tags appears to work fine.

fixed trunk/2802. Turns out this was a bug in xl/metadata/, not the tagger itself.
