Shutter closes down completely when attempting web capture

Could you please provide a short screencast? gtk-recordMyDesktop is a
good application for this.

Please do the following:
1) start Shutter via terminal with debug parameter: shutter --debug
2) reproduce the error you've described and record everything what you
are doing
3) attach the screencast and the terminal output here

I have recorded a video that includes the error. I got an error message when I attempted to use the "add attachment" link below (Request-URI Too Large. The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server), so I will send the ogg file via email. The Shutter terminal output is pasted just below.

Hi Mario - Happy New Year,

I created a screencast that shows the problem, but was unable to attach
it at the site. However, I did submit a post that included the terminal
output from Shutter.
I am attaching both the output and screencast files to this email,
zipped. The filesize is 5.5 MB. Please let me know if you have any
problem with it.

Thanks for creating the video and posting the debug output.
I was able to reproduce the crash on hardy and to commit a solution for this. A bit strange is the fact that newer versions of Ubuntu don't show this behaviour.
