Facebook chat now supports jabber [1]. A Facebook source could now simply extend the jabber source, adding some cosmetic bits like taking a vanity url / profile id and turning that into the required identifer (<username>@chat.facebook.com where <username> is the vanity name or u<profile_id>) and scraping facebook for the user's real name.
