nm-applet asks for keyring password everytime it connects to wi-fi with autologin enabled

Bug Description
I'm using Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala i386 on a Dell Inspiron B130 notebook, fresh new installation. Since I'm the only person using the computer and not concerned about security or privacy --particularly on this machine--, I selected to enable the auto login feature at installation. It turns out, I'm asked for a password after all, the keyring password, every time the network manager applet tries to connect to the network via wi-fi. The whole point of choosing not to enter a password at boot up time is then useless.
It seems to be a well known bug, I'm reporting it here because I think it negatively affects user experience, i. e. the operating system does not what it's been selected to do.

If you enable the "available to all users" enabled by default for wireless connections. this will be solved.
This is to prevent unauthorized user accounts from having access to wifi connections. Once the admin user activates it then there is no need to enter keyring every time.
