Bug Description
Binary package hint: light-themes
This is pretty much the same as bug #532789 but instead of Pidgin, it's VLC. When VLC is open, its tray icon doesn't blend into the notification area, instead it has a light rectangular box around the tray icon.
VLC's tray icon should probably be fixed too.

This is not a problem related to the ligh-themes but the VLC icon
