Bug Description
Binary package hint: flashplugin-nonfree
How to reproduce:
While running inside VM Ware with automatic re-scaling of client os, installing some updates, in this case Flash from within Firefox, the VM Ware window was un-maximized and moved to another physical screen, and then the VM Ware window was maximized again, during the operation the Ubuntu host did not have focus in VM Ware. When focus was restored to Ubuntu in VM Ware screen was frozen black and after a short while the question to wait or force quit was popped and I forced quiting.
Expected result:
Change of the resolution should not crash applications, even when screen is "locked" as from gksu or similar.
