That icon works fine here (KDE4). It's a bug in your Qt4 theme engine, not in VLC.

Changed in vlc (Ubuntu):
status:	New → Invalid

Hi Rémi,

I am running vlc in GNOME. I do not see an installed package which says it is a "Qt4 engine". Could you recommend which package you believe this bug should be reported against? Packages libqtgui4 or libqtcore4 are my best guesses.

I have been struggling with the Ubuntu devs to figure which package is responsible for Qt4 on GNOME, but nobody would answer.

In any case, you have to be using the Qt4 interface, otherwise you would have no tray icon. And hence you have to have an engine.
