Bug Description
Binary package hint: metacity
Programs with GTK tabs, e.g. gedit or gnome-terminal, often set the window decoration title equal to the title of the tab.
If you switch tabs, the title changes, too.
In Ubuntu 10.10, metacity sometimes "forgets" to update the title on tab switch.
However, the title is redrawn correctly if the decoration is redrawn, e.g. on window maximize.
To reproduce:
Open gedit, click the "New empty document" button so that you have two tabs. Use the mouse to switch between them and have a look at the title. After some times, the title is not updated. Maximize gedit and the right title is there.
Ubuntu 10.10, Intel graphics i915, Compiz on.
Please everyone, test this on your system to see if this is a regression with Intel drivers, Metacity, Compiz or whatever.

I can confirm this bug on my system. Ubuntu 10.10, i915 with Compiz.
I found gnome-terminal consistently not updating the title bar correctly while switching between directories.
