Bug Description

Starting rhythmbox from the sound applet, or empathy and Gwibber from the message applet, starts the program, but does not jump to the correct viewport the program is running in. It does not honor the settings of running programs panel. For the user the program is hidden and not started. Hence, a causal user is lost.

Solution: Let the applet activate the correct viewport the program is running in.
