Bug Description

Binary package hint: chromium-browser

I've been having problems with Chromium browser crashing on occasion, before. But right now, it is crashing immediately after opening each time I try to open it. The only recent change that I've made to my computer is that I installed the ubuntu-restricted-extras package. It may also be helpful to mention that for sometime now (before the problem began to occur), I've had these packages also installed: chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-nonfree.

Also, perhaps I should mention, that Chromium WAS my default browser, but in order to submit this report (with all the attachments included), I had to first reset firefox as my default browser. Otherwise, the bug-submission-procedure of running the command: "ubuntu-bug chromium-browser" would be interrupted as soon as I tried to send my bug report (due to the immediate Chromium crash (in which the default browser is used to submit such details).

I see you have:

icedtea6-plugin 6b20-1.9.2-0ubuntu1
moonlight-plugin-chromium 2.3-0ubuntu4

this is a known crasher situation. This bug is a dupe of bug 633075.
