Please consider providing the 1.0.2 update to ubuntu-10.10, there are critical problems with version 1.0.1 the prevent replication of databases.

A version released via a PPA would be appreciated too if 1.0.2 won't make it into natty.

it won't make it into natty, but we'll probably be rolling a 1.0.2
shortly after natty goes golden. When it happens, I'll report back :)

I couldn't really wait and built a 1.0.2 package for maverick myself. You can find it in my PPA at <https://launchpad.net/~mss/+archive/couchdb/>.

Apart from the last entry in the changelog (reverting back to xulrunner-dev) you probably need these changes for natty as well. I didn't rename the remaining couchio patches but had to update one of them.

Changes:
 couchdb (1.0.2-0ubuntu1ppa1~maverick1) maverick; urgency=low
 .

Dammit. Just noticed that the version should have been 1.0.2-0ubuntu0ppa1~maverick1. Sorry for that :)

Is it possible you could also build a package for Lucid? I believe the package in lucid-updates is just a straight copy from maverick.

All right, lucid packages are built and available in the PPA. Use them on your own risk, I didn't test them at all.

Bug #753563 makes upgrading to 1.0.2 a lot more attractive: Apparently documents above a certain size will not replicate, currently, due to bugs in ibrowse and one of the patches we carry. 1.0.2 no longer needs that patch, nor some others, and the new included version of ibrowse fixes the replication problem.

Malte, could you possible add a PPA for Natty?
Shame these issues were known before the Natty release, yet were not prioritized for the release...
