Bug Description

Under Windows, I often get prompted that there is a new version out (0.8.7). But I am already running 0.8.7. Me thinks this is a bug but I am asking in case there was a re-release or something of 0.8.7. Just making sure :P

Confirmed on Linux too. Happens about 10% of the time.

Oh yes. I remember seeing it under Fedora and I think maybe even Ubuntu.

As of now, BleachBit should no longer show an update is available when an update is no longer available. This was fixed on the web host, so the latest BleachBit (version 0.8.7) doesn't need updated to be fixed, and the workaround in the BleachBit code (for 0.8.8) will probably be removed.

This was fixed on the web host side and no code changes are necessary in the BleachBit client.
