Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Steps to reproduce:
1. have a chromium with a bunch of tabs for your machine
2. get it seized so that it will automaximize under window (> 75% of the workarea)
3. close it
4. open it, it will get maximized

Seems that the X damage event isn't received by compiz for chromium for chromium (see it undecorated, but not shifted). However, the X inputs are "correct" in the sense that if I click on the blank space, I indeed click on the tabs. The tabs line is the url entry and such… Only the drawing isn't correct.

See attached picture (the fact that the page is blanked is only because it wasn't loaded yet)

This is only since latest compiz (0.9.4). Was working fine before.

Since I have like zero luck reproducing this bug, can I get people to try a new branch for me?

lp:~smspillaz/compiz/compiz.spew_chromium_issue

Just build it with

sudo apt-get build-dep compiz
sudo apt-get install bzr-buildpackage
cd compiz.spew_chromium_issue
bzr bd
cd ..
cd build-area
sudo dpkg -i *deb

And attach the output and the xwininfo of chromium when it happens please!

Thanks,

Sam

The new unity-window-decorator (compiz-gnome 1:0.9.4git20110322-0ubuntu2) seems to fix it for me on both chromium and bzr-gtk.

Didier, it seems this is still present for me in (compiz-gnome 1:0.9.4git20110322-0ubuntu2) . See attached video.
