desktopcouch-service crashed with PreconditionFailed in request(): ('file_exists', 'The database could not be created, the file already exists.')

Binary package hint: desktopcouch

Installed desktopcouch by going to the Ubuntu One Control Panel, clicking on the Services tab, then on the "install" button. After installation, the tab showed "no pairing record" in red, and the crash occured. After the crash, I switched to the Account tab, and then back to the Services tab, and everything seems to work fine. It does take an unusual amount of time to switch to and away from the Services tab.
