Bug Description

Just wanted to add this feature request as a wishlist item. I'm attaching a couple of screenshots showing the existing applet in the tray, its right-click menu, its preferences dialog, help dialog, and the info window that pops up with a left-click of the applet (like the radar map, et al, in the existing Gnome weather applet).

The images don't work with the Orta theme, but they work fine for the Radiance theme.

It would be cool if this could be integrated with the new Unity weather indicator.

I think, moon has nothing to do with weather on earth (except sea level)

Isn't lunar phase already conveyed with the nighttime icon?

No, a generic lunar icon is used.
I guess, we can show the lunar phase as an icon, but this might require a
separate menu item, and can be implemented in foggy release

I could have sworn that in the Ubuntu icon sets there are icons for the old clock applet that convey the moon phase. but i think it is only waxing, full, and waning. But maybe I am mistaken.

I've created indicator-lunar for Unity. See the PPA located at https://launchpad.net/~thebernmeister.
