This bug was reported against an old version of Unity. The new version of Unity is almost an entire rewrite based on very different technologies. Could you please check if this issue is present in the current version, and if it is reopen the bug to a NEW status.

Thanks, Alex. I'd be happy to help, if you can tell me which repository I should enable to get the "new" version of Unity. My 10.10 system is up to date with the current released or "stable" code. I've run apt-get update, apt-get upgrade, and apt-get dist-upgrade since installing from the Netbook Edition .iso. I assume I'll need to enable a "testing" or "dev" repository or the Ubuntu equivalents to get a newer version of Unity.

One problem I've noticed with communications regarding bugs on various Linux OS projects is often what developers consider "old" code is actually the current released or "stable" reposititory code. Devs are usually a step or two ahead of the typical user reporting a bug.

Based on the description, I should add that I don't think this is a duplicate of bug #721572. In my experience, the date doesn't roll one minute late. It NEVER rolls. The date becomes one day "behind" the first time the calendar fails to roll the date at midnight, two days behind the next night, etc. The date is simply "stuck."
