Bug Description

Binary package hint: compiz

Certain menus don't get "painted over" after they have been closed, e.g. the menu in Chromium when adding a bookmark, the bookmark menus in Opera (see screenshots), the context menu of unity-window-decorator (see screencast).

Update: this happens with nouveau, nvidia-current, and intel.

I'm having the same problem with classic desktop without effects, so I assume it's not related to compiz, but nVidia drivers.

I experience the same rendering artifacts in two different machines using Ubuntu Natty (64-bit) with nVidia binary drivers from jockey (current). One machine has a GeForce 9600GT and the other an 8600GT.

I can confirm this bug. It started happening after installing Natty, on the classic desktop w/o effects. I don't use Nvidia, though, but Intel graphics.

When did everybody else start experiencing this problem?
