Bug Description

Binary package hint: unity-2d

I have an external monitor on the left of the laptop screen.

The panel and the Ubuntu logo appears on the right screen (laptop) while the sidebar/dash and app menu on the left one.

@Jani: I believe those issues you are observing were fixed in the Natty branch. Could you please test your setup in Natty and confirm/invalidate the issues you observe in Maverick?

I am using up-to-date natty with packages from the archive.
I can provide more info or test another branch if necessary.

I confirm. Got unity 2d on 11.04 with intel i915.

This is very annoying bug. When I do my presentations people can see empathy/pidgin notification on the beamer ! I need to switch to gnome2 every time I need to to do the lecture
