Bug Description
Weather indicator should have a dconf settings backend as an alternative to desktopcouch.
If the user has not installed desktopcouch or wants to remove it, then that could be used.
Dconf settings reading is very very fast and guaranteed to work.
Desktopcouch often stalls. It also uses a lot of cpu even on idle state and IMO is an overkill.
I really don't want to have it installed only for weather indicator and I am not the only one.

I've seen Ken VanDine started a branch, where desktopcouch dependency will be removed. However, it seems the only confortable and easy way to store settings and cached data. If dconf will be able to manage with this task - then desktopcouch is really an overkill.
