Bug Description

Hi,

I am having issues with top unity panel, notification area is not responding (blutooth applet, network manager applet and sound applet) , I was trying to click on them but I cant Turn bluettoth On, or Increase volume, or choose another wireless access point. They just not responding.

I tried do unity --reset after reset all applets was working fine, but after reboot, problem still appear.

Did you whitelist all applications to allow all apps to display system tray icons? I noticed this bug after i did that on mine to get the alarm clock icon showing.

Hi,

I just tried to use this whitelist script http://www.fewt.com/2011/03/whitelist-utility-script-to-allow-apps.html with bluetooth-applet, but still the same nothing changed, I think its related to a new Intel Graphics drivers, after I updated them, all apllets start not responding..

yes I did, thanks - I'll try a manual white list and let you know once I
did.
Thanks for the work-around (the unity --reset); I'm using the compiz reload
window manager, but only tried it following reading about your work-around.

Strangely, it seems to be correlated to whitelisting the fusion-icon; when I
reverted to a manual list, the problem went away, but when I've added
'fusion-icon' to the whitelist, once again I had to 'reload window manager'
to be able to interact with notification icons.
