Bug Description

Binary package hint: libreoffice

When masking/unmasking LibreOffice side panel, the unity dock sometimes appears in front of every windows and does not hide until I quit Libroffice. After that, any windows maximisation can hide the dock. If I launch LibreOffice again everything goes well... until next time.

I just got the same problem just after clicking the "bold" option for a word selection. I'm joining a screen capture.

Hi Francois,
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

I suspect this bug might be the same as bug 792501. However we have been unable to replicate this behavior in a consistent way. So, I'd like to ask you whether you can provide a series of steps that can reliably produce the behavior you describe. Look at the other bug I'm describing to see the series of steps I tried (and was unable to reproduce the problem with).

This will help us to find and resolve the problem.

If the problem only appears occasionally and you have no clear way of triggering it, it's OK, and you can indicate so here. However, a bug is always more likely to get looked at and fixed when there's a clear way of triggering the problematic behavior.

Thanks for your help!

Hello,

I'll try care vhenever the problem appears next time.

In my mind it is linked with little windows opened by toolbox.

Regards,

François

Today, I'm working on Odp files and the bug happened 3 times :
1. Adding a slide
2. Making a tool visible in a toolbar
3. no idea of the circonstances

Each time I had to quit every LibreOffice module to free the Unity-dock.

I twice tried to provoque the bug again but it did'nt repeat.

François

Hi François,

I'm moving this bug to Unity, and setting it as a duplicate of bug 769703 which describes the same problem. All further reporting should be done on the primary bug.

Since there are a lot of duplicate bugs and people affected, I hope this gets fixed soon.

Thanks for your report and your help testing!
