Hi Arthur

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better.

Looking at the error message in #2 it would appear that another process had a lock on /var/cache/debconf/config.dat.

Most often, this is only a transient situation. Simply performing the update again should solve this
issue.

If it continues to happen fuser -v will return the locking process if any. Kill it and try performing the upgrade again.

If this resolves your issue please mark this bug as 'Invalid'
