Ngassam Nkwenga, do you still get this? There were several dbusmenu/glib updates that fixed similar issues. If you haven't reproduced since the original report, I think we can close this.

1) Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 1 (nightly build)

2) unity: Installiert: 5.8.0-0ubuntu1
compiz: Installiert: 1:0.9.7.2-0ubuntu1

3) I opened the Ubuntu Software-Center, searchef for recordmydesktop, opened the full page for recordmydesktop and started the installation.

4) A few seconds after the installation started, Unity/Compiz crashed the first time - and while the software was installing and the bugreporter launched, the crash happened two more times. After the installation, and the Ubuntu Software-Center was closed, it stopped crashing.

I don't know, if this information is helpful, but after the crashes stopped, the launcher on the left side does have a wrong background colour.
