Bug Description

I had just ran

sudo apt-get install compizconfig-settings-manager

then Alt-F2 to search for ccsm
the crash happened just after ccsm opened before I made any changes or even any UI navigations within ccsm

maybe a helpful NOTE - a few minutes before I had run Update Manager who did a partial upgrade
prior to that update, compiz had NEVER ran on my 11.10 though after that partial upgrade
I have noticed compiz now runs for the first time ever on this ubuntu 11.10 install
Crash could be related to this boot up being first running compiz
