Thank you for trying Lernid, and for taking the time to report the problem you experienced.

I assume that you know your connection was good and that this happened before the classroom or chatroom were joined. Is that true?

What nickname had you given? Was it one you had registered or was it one you simply picked (as I often do)? Had you supplied a password for it? (I don't need to know what the password was).

Thanks.

I don't know about the crash cause i tried to run the code from the trunk and it worked fine, could you please explain what steps do you do again,

And about the nick name changes, it's not lernid, it's the server that does that, here's what happend when i tried to change my nick to the letter 'z'
12:30 -NickServ(NickServ@services.)- This nickname is registered. Please choose a different nickname, or identify via /msg NickServ identify <password>.
12:30 -NickServ(NickServ@services.)- You have 30 seconds to identify to your nickname before it is changed.
12:30 -NickServ(NickServ@services.)- You failed to identify in time for the nickname z

then a random name 'Guest90799' was assigned to me.

If the nick is locked, Telepathy doesn't tell lernid about it, I'm afraid and I'm assuming that is the problem here. I'm marking this as duplicate of LP: #850419, but please let me know if you see that the problem you are having is different.
