Bug Description

Version: Sikuli X-1.0rc3 (r905)
OS: Windows 7 Enterprise x86 SP1.
Install, launch, using JRE 6 u27, navigate to the toolbox, and type click for example, or type click manually and select Take Screenshot or Create Region, all of the options crash the program, so it just closes.
It says something about java.io.FileNotFoundException in the user temp folder on a file with some weird name ending in ".sikuli", in the next run of Sikuli (see attached screenshot).
I tried a workaround to insert previously saved PNG file and it worked, but after copy-pasting the picture somewhere else in the code, it did not run with some other error.
Also after that error, java.io.FileNotFoundException stopped happening and I was able to use 'Take screenshot' option and successfully paste a screen cut to the code.
Close and reopen Sikuli IDE - same problem as the first time.
Thank you.
Victor.

Tested on XP, Take screenshot and Select region are working.
However, java.io.FileNotFoundException is still showing up on startup.
It appears to be unrelated to the problem occuring under Windows 7.

already checked faq 1766 ?

The above screenshot shows, that there are problems with the new feature session restore.

I do not have any problems neither on Win7-Pro-32-SP1 nor with WinXp
using the latest build r931 from
http://sikuli.org/hudson/job/Sikuli-IDE-Windows/

I just recenty installed Sikuli IDE on Windows7 Professional 32bit and the applicatiton closes any time I select an action from the menu. Were you able to find a resolution to the problem?

Yep, try using Sikuli-IDE.bat (sitting inside the program folder), and not the default Sikuli-IDE icon on your desktop.

Same issue on Windows Server 2003 SP2. Main window exits while javaw process stays alive on clicking screenshot or create region. JRE 1.6.0_29

I had a similar issue running Windows 7 PRO over a Remote Desktop session. I would click on the Create Region button and the app would disappear leaving only the javaw process. I did not have the issue when doing the same thing locally. It may be that RDP was causing my particular problem, but the system I was connecting to also has software that is used by my IT department to remotely manage PCs and this could also be the culprit.

And now that I commit that, I notice that it has actually started working. No lag or anything. Super weird.
