Bug Description

Wanting to do a fresh install of precise (alpha-2, Fri 3rd of Feb) on an existing system, and rejig the existing layout.

At the 'Allocate disk space' screen, I chose the 'something else' option, as I had a bunch of partitions I wanted kept and some destroyed - mdadm mirrors mainly, which I'd manually reassemble post install.
Alas, at this choosing, the install app would crash and exit.

Was able to work around by installing 11.10, and doing a net upgrade.

I'll see if I can still repeat with that usb-key; and hence attach the desired logs.

This is probably a duplicate of bug 926150. For future reference, if you booted with Try Ubuntu you could have used ubuntu-bug ubiquity to gather the proper log files for a bug report.

I'm marking this as incomplete since we don't have any logs.

I've done a ubuntu-bug collection; that's now bug 929980.
Suspect mark this one a dupe of that, or invalid or something.
