HUD prevents me from using "alt" key in Guake

Bug Description

I use IRC client inside a terminal inside Guake (a debian package). I have a hot key "alt+a" to do some tasks in my irc client but with HUB, it triggers Guake to close the window.

Can we exclude certain applications from HUD?

thank you for your bug report, those modifier issues should be fixed in the current version, do you still get the issue?

I have this problem on up-to-date precise. Guake window closes immediately when I press Alt. Maybe this issue isn't a duplicate?

I connect to a byobu session on a remote system..But when i want to switch sessions in the remote session by using Alt + <up-arrow> the Guake HUD closes.Its very irritating.

Workaround is to ask byobu to list sessions,F12, and then select one rather than using the shortcuts
