Bug Description
I have a 12.04 testing install on an Asus EeePC 900. It was built up from a command-line install and uses Openbox.
Up until shortly after kernel version 3.2.0-9, lightdm (gtk version) was working. Since then, it has failed to load. The boot stalls at "checking battery state" or at a mounting or network checking command. I've always been able to get to a tty and login from the command line and then run "startx". At first, it appeared as though it might be some graphics driver problem, similar to what some nVidia users see.
However, I've discovered that using lxdm works normally and allows a graphical login.
There are no signs of any lightdm logs in /var/log
Not sure what other logs or tests are needed, but I'm open to suggestions.
