Bug Description

Please remove gimp-plugin-registry from Ubuntu. It is incompatible with gimp 2.99 which is currently in mantic-proposed. I filed a Debian bug inquiring about whether the package should be removed there or if it will be adapted to provide plugins that are compatible with the new gimp series. But it will need a source upload anyway and it can be allowed to automatically sync if an update is compatible.

gimp 2.99 is in mantic-proposed, but I see that gimp-plugin-registry has been copied back to mantic. Seb, can you comment here why?

We removed gimp 2.99 from mantic-proposed because the remaining work to complete the transition was too much for Ubuntu 23.10.

Therefore, we brought back gimp-plugin-registry since there no longer was as strong of a reason to have it removed.
