Binary package hint: synaptic

Wishlist:

as a quick filter, the quick search should have a clear button next to it.
maybe it should be a combobox, to remember the last filters.

As an example, please see Tomboy's Search field.

i was about to fill a similard bug report : please add a (broom) icon in the Quick Search box to clear it

Also, maybe the Qick Search box should be focused at Synaptic startup

Thank you for bringing this bug to our attention. Unfortunately a paper cut should be a small usability issue that affects many people and is quick and easy to fix. I'm afraid this bug can't be addressed as part of this project.

Synaptic is being replaced by AppCentre in 9.10 , Hence not a papercut issue. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/AppCenter
A paper cut is a minor usability annoyance that an average user would encounter on his/her first day of using a new installation of Ubuntu 9.10.

Don't worry though, This bug has been marked as "invalid" ONLY in the papercuts project.
