Inkscape: main window does not fit in Dell mini screen

Bug Description

The height of Inkscape main window is larger than the height of the screen in the mini (see attached screenshot). It cannot be rescaled to fit.

The main window can be resized only if the vertical toolbox on the left side is either removed (menu View -> Show/Hide) of disattached (floating). The main problem seems to be in the fact the toolbox is not resizable.
A possible fix would be to make it horizontal.

Inkscape is not officially supported on the dell version of ubuntu (probably not in ubuntu desktop either). Marking confirmed and recommending importance be changed to wishlist.

This has been fixed in Inkscape SVN, but it isn't released yet.
You should try a development version.
