Bug Description
CouchDB does not support replication via proxy.
Since couchdb is used for contacts replication this needs to be looked into.
The file sync-related issue is discussed in bug #387308.

For what it is worth, CouchDB supports the use of proxies for replication now, so it should be possible to implement this now.
