Bug Description

I have a recurring error when trying to sync my local contacts from evolution to couchdb (ubuntu one). I do manage to sync back and forth single contact entries now and then, but not reliably at all. Very often i get the popup error :

Error adding contact
GDBus.Error:org.gtk.GDBus.UnmappedGError.Quark._e_2ddata_2dbook_2derror.Code400: Cannot add contact: Bad Request

I have tried several solutions, listed in related bug-reports, yet they do not solve my issues. I noticed that when my contact data contains special characters e.g. ßöü, I for sure would get the error, and removing solved it in some cases. Yet I have not been able to sync all, and the ... copy all contacts to .... command fails greatly

System:
ubuntu 11.04 amd64 (fresh install) but i kept my old /home directory from ubuntu 10.04.

Could it be the case that I have left-over configuration files from 10.04 which mess up the whole process?

Thanks!
