Bug Description

I have a laptop with dock station, and two monitors connected to the dock. Having the monitors both enabled and laptop screen disabled, I have ran
disper -p
and saved the result. Then, with just laptop screen enabled I run
disper -i
piping the previous output. What I've got is:

Garbage metamode: restart X before changing the display configuration to avoid crashes in the nVidia driver

Given that nvidia-settings appears to switch just fine, I hope this is just minor bug. I attach the saved output.

My disper is 0.2.3

This does not reproduce after reboot -- several tries at switching back and forth were successful (except for issue about what is primary monitor, that I'll probably report reparately).

Ok, this bug is back:

$ disper -v -i < ~/System/disper-roaming
Enabled plugins:
Garbage metamode: restart X before changing the display configuration to avoid crashes in the nVidia driver

What does this mean?

indipendent of using a profile file or just try disper -e we got the message:

Garbage metamode: restart X before changing the display configuration to avoid crashes in the nVidia driver

in ubuntu 11.10 looks like the package "gtk2-engines-pixbuf" made some problems with disper, uninstall this and you got no problem
