Bug Description

The attached script creates an ecryptfs volume, and then an overlay FS using it (and an ordinary directory) as inferiors. Reading from a file in the overlay causes a kernel oops.

  Run the enclosed script sudo root

Details:
  Fresh xubuntu 19.04 amd64 (in VirtualBox VM) on Ryzen; same error occurs on ubuntu 19.04 on unvirtualised Intel-x86-64.

uname -a
  Linux x1 5.0.0-20-generic #21-Ubuntu SMP Mon Jun 24 09:32:09 UTC 2019 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

package versions:
 ecryptfs-utils 111-0ubuntu5 amd64
 libecryptfs1 111-0ubuntu5 amd64

Note this is working okay in 20.04 LTS. I suggest close as fixed.
