Bug Description

Firefox 50 ships emojione for Linux (http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2016/11/firefox-50-brings-native-emoji-linux-desktops), but integration here is not deep enough.

It should be possible to have emojis for all apps, or elementary could use it's own emojis set. Emoji picker should be available by hitting a keystroke as in macOS for example and also emojis should be always displayed and look neat. emojione looks familiar, but does not neccesarily need to be the default.

Hey Ben,

Are you saying there's no support whatsoever in Cairo, or just that there isn't one in the version of Cairo we're shipping?

Mozilla seems to have been working on this a while back [1], not sure if it was upstreamed or not.
