Hello everybody,
After I failed to compile Esys on Ubuntu 15.10, I installed it from the Ubuntu repository (Version2.3.3+dfsg1-1build1).
My test simulation runs without problem.
However, I noticed that the version string in the checkpoint header causes dump2vtk to write only empty files.
manually changing the Version from ''ESyS-Particle_2.3.2_bzr_rev.'' to ''ESyS-Particle_2.3.2_bzr_rev. -1''in the header fixes the problem.
