Bug Description

Evergreen 2.4.0

Hello!

While creating a Custom Org Unit Tree in Evergreen 2.4.0, I encountered an "in limbo" type of error. The error is very similar to the bug written by Bill Erickson:

https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/972717

However, this current behavior is not the exact same error as described. Also, this problem seems to be intermittent, not always returning the error on the first try.

When I delete an org unit, then reselect that org unit from the left-hand side and drag it back over to my custom unit tree, it initially releases into the tree. However, if I reselect it on the right-hand side and try to reassign its position in the tree, the org unit will not rerelease into the tree. It stays fixed to my cursor. I am also attaching a screen image of it freezing on the page.

However, if I delete the org unit then select “Apply Changes,” as Bill mentions in the 972717 ticket, then I do not experience this behavior.

Thank you very much for looking into this!
Erica

Just an update to say that I still experience this from time to time. I just recreated it in Evergreen version 3.2.1
