Course search results should display alphabetically. When searching for courses in the OPAC, users have the option to select from three indexes: course name, course number and instructor. When searching any of these indexes, the search results display in order by the database ID. (See attached screenshot for one example.) This order is not intuitive and may prove confusing to users. It would be preferable if search results displayed alphabetically by course name, course number and instructor’s last name, respectively.

Agreed, course search results should be alphabetical, not by database ID.
