Bug Description

Hello...

I'm using ffmpeg2theora 0.27 - Libtheora 1.2.0alpha 20100923 (Ptalarbvorm).

When I try to convert a video with 6-channel audio into 2-channel audio (through the command "-- channels 2"), I get the following before start the conversion process:

"Resampling with input channels greater than 2 unsupported"

The video is encoded but remains 6-channel... And with previous versions of ffmpeg2theora (prior ptalarbvorm) I could reduce the channel count.

Thanks

did you compile ffmpeg2theora yourself or where did you get it from?
in order to make re-sampling with input greater 2 work the version of
ffmpeg you link to needed to be patched.
http://svn.xiph.org/trunk/ffmpeg2theora/patches/6to2channel-resample.patch

Nope, I downloaded from:
http://lists.xiph.org/pipermail/theora-dev/2010-September/004202.html

I'm under Windows (Vista x64) and sadly I don't know (yet) how to compile
sources or apply patches. I'm planning to learn C & C++ during 2011...

Why is this option available through a patch? IMHO this should be available
in ffmpeg2theora "out of the box" as in previous versions.

Thanks for the fast feedback.
tuqueque.

can you try again with http://firefogg.org/nightly/ffmpeg2theora.exe trunk is now Ptalarbvorm and it should have the patch,
please let me know if it works or not.

I'm aware that Ptalarbvorm is now on trunk but it seems like it doesn't have
the patch. It still throws me the same "error". (I just checked again).
