Bug Description

I here by request a feature: beeing able to access workspaces by hitting 1-4 on the keyboard while viewing the workspace-switcher.

I think its a easy and fast way to switch workspaces by setting up a hotcorner for the workspace-switcher-view and then beeing able to hit 1-4 for your desired workspace. This could be solved by labeling each workspace with its number.

I recall Chrome OS having something like Super+[1-9] for switching between numbered workspaces. Might be better than Super+S [1-9]

You should be still able to choose your desktop with 1-4 when you have super+s already open.

They both make sense to me. I dunno about labeling the workspaces though. We offer a number shortcut for tabs, but we don't number those.

Sergey, I'd suggest filing a separate bug report for your feature request.

The gala part is done now.
For the shortcuts you'd need to get our os defaults to set org.gnome.desktop.wm.keybindings.switch-to-workspace-1,2,3,4...
