Bug Description

Previous arm-gcc installers placed environment variables with version and pathnames in the software section of the registry. Eclipse gnuarmtools would pick this up from the registry to launch arm-none-eabi-gcc.

The current version of arm-gcc when write to registry is selected only places keys in Uninstallers based on wow6432/uninstallers or microsoft/uninstallers.

The install to pathname is not default, or selectable by command line.

To install unattended with Eclipse, I need to derive the pathname, and patch it in.

Before, eclipse picked up the registry keys from standard locations.

Please restore the registry keys, make registry key writing default in the installer. (for unattended installs).

Thanks,
Rick

Hi Rick,

Could you tell us what is the first release where you experience this issue? Eg. 5-2016Q3, 6-2016Q4, etc.

Thanks.

Best regards.
