installing grub customizer crashes ubuntu software center

On Ubuntu 12.04 installed grub-customizer. The soft ware center and update manager now crash, and I received the following message:

'E:Type 'ain' is not known on line 2 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/danielrichter2007-grub-customizer-precise.list'

I have no problems booting into the system, but when attempting to use the soft ware center end up in a continuous loop between the above message and other error messages stating something to the effect that system cannot determine the source of the error.

If the only solution is to uninstall grub-customizer, how do I do this from a command line window?
