Bug Description

I can't login in GWOffice. It just shows "Something went wrong. Please try again." I tried every combination I know, my mail address, my google mail address, my standard password, the password I get authenticating a new app in my google account ...

I am using Ubuntu 12.04 and GWOffice in the up-to-date version.

If you run it from the terminal, you get some more information. This particular message should be printed in yellow.

It just shows this:

/opt/gwoffice/bin/gwoffice %U
[INFO 18:18:41.723129] [Application:74] GWoffice version: 0.1
[INFO 18:18:41.723238] [Application:76] Kernel version: 3.2.0-26-generic

When I am clicking on "connect", nothing happens. When I close the program, it's still that and nothing more.

Do you have 2-step verification on? You need to make aplication-specific code in google account secutity settings. It worked for me.

Yes, I am using 2-step verification. I'v tried the app-specific password - copying the password and re-typing it manually makes no difference. So, unfortunately, it didn't work for me.

Confirmed. I am having this trouble as well.

I tried it again now with Ubuntu 12.10, it works here. Don't forget to use an application passphrase, if you are using 2-step-verification, not your actual password!

2-step verification password doesn't work for me either on 12.04. I upgraded to 12.10 and I still get the same message:

"Something went wrong, please try again."

And running from terminal doesn't show any more activity.

I would love this to work. But I'm not sure what to try next.

Same here on Ubuntu 12.04, using an app-specific password doesn't help and no output to the console.
